QUALITY

"Quality is the ability to meet explicit or implied requirements, with a product or a service": This is current definition on which ISO 9001 standards are based.

A quality system implies the continuous improvement of business processes to obtain products or services that meet customer needs.

When implementing the Quality System, Alberdi has taken the following commitments:

• Regulations Compliance
Compliance with current legislation and specific regulations of the ceramic industry, with particular attention to the issues related to safety and the environment.

• Reduced waste and cost minimization
Scope of qualitative objectives by optimizing the production process.

• Attention to customer requirements
Customer orientation, assessing their level of satisfaction, and identify needs to be met.

• Continuous improvement
Definition of measurable targets for continuous improvement, makes a permanent objective of the organization.

• Quality Control System.
Measuring and monitoring the effectiveness of the Quality System through periodic visits and regular checkups, gaps or inefficiencies in the system are reviewed and corrected.

• Participation and accountability.
Accountability and participation at all levels of the organization enable increasingly effective and efficient production processes.

• Training and improvement of professional skills.
Development of continuous training for improvement of staff’s professional skills in each of the roles.

 

CERTIFICATION SYSTEM - UNI IN ISO 9001: 2010

The certifying entity UNI (Ente Nazionale de Unificazione) was chosen by the severity and international recognition. It is an independent certification and inspection entity with worldwide presence.

The structure has grown over time and the internationalization of business has contributed with strong overseas activities growth, developing markets in over 45 countries around the world.

 

REGULATIONS

Alberdi is capable of testing in their own laboratories, the main technical characteristics of the materials produced, to determinate the product’s futures based on the current regulations.

For customer’s reliance, Alberdi controls the quality of its products with key international testing institutes.

The following are appointed entities responsible for the creation of common standards:

• ISO: International Organization for Standardization (Issuing ISO norms, globally valid).
• CEN: Comité Européen de Normalisation (issuing the EN standards valid in Europe).
• UNI: Ente Nazionale Italiano di Unificazione (Italian National Unification) (representing Italy in the supranational organizations. Issuing and publishing the international regulations).
